Youth 4 Freedom International Design Contest
Youth 4 Freedom is a youth led project, and a campaign that aims to raise awareness about Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking is the second largest crime in the world. It is a global problem involving 27 million people from all ages, who are forced into different crime.
Organised by HustleBucks , they invite you to produce a t-shirt design about human trafficking. Your design must focus on one of the following crime issues:• Sexual Exploitation – Women and teenagers being forced into prostitution.
• Forced Labour – Where Men and Women are forced into work aboard for little or no pay due to their identities being stolen.
• Organ Donation – Where people are illegally forced to donate organs on the black market.
• Fraud – Where people are forced to steal credit cards and peoples identities with the intention to extort money.
• Theft/Shoplifting – This crime includes people of all ages who are forced to pick pocket or steal.
• Begging – This crime is a combination of Women and Children who are forced to beg on the streets.
Be as creative as you like, bearing in mind the design must communicate your chosen crime simply and effectively.

Recently Received: NAVA
NAVA is an Italian brand that has strong roots in the design community. Established in 1970, they have a long history of working with the leading designers of the day. Nendo Projects, Massimo Vignelli, Enzo Mari, Naoto Fukasawa and Max Huber are just a few of the designers that NAVA has collaborated with over the years. The success of these partnerships has allowed NAVA to craft a functional yet undeniably stylish product line that supercedes vain fashion. Many of these products have gone on to become icons that are still displayed in museums and galleries around the world.
We recently received a package from NAVA which contained items from the latest Michel Charlot collaboration as well as a classic notepad/daily planner designed by Max Huber during the early stages of the company. We explore these products in words and pictures after the jump.

Yesterday night the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented the 2013-2014 Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards for programs and individual achievements at the 66th Emmy Awards presentation. The Emmy® Awards recognise excellence within various areas of television and emerging media. The Primetime Emmy Award is a symbol of peer recognition from over 15,000 Television Academy members, with each member casting a ballot for the category of competition in their field of expertise. As typography (and other arts related to the alphabet like calligraphy, lettering, graffiti, etc.) are the main focus of The FontFeed, I am of course interested in Outstanding Main Title Design amongst the myriad categories.
