The Creative Action Network and National Parks Conservation Association have partnered to revive the legacy of the New Deal art projects, inviting artists and designers from all 50 states to create a new collection of See America posters celebrating our shared natural landmarks and treasured sites.
Luis Prado is an Argentine-born graphic designer (now living in Olympia, WA) and the typeface, Borgstrand, is Swedish, but that’s ok; America is a nation of immigrants. Plus, Borgstrand has a lot in common with the gas-pipe style of lettering found on the WPA posters that inspired the See America project.

Arial, I hate you.
I work for a government office and the majority of our legal forms and other forms we would send out to potential clients/citizens/contractors use Arial or another typeface/font in which the capital letter I and lowercase L are indentical. I don’t know if I can properly express how idiotic this is. Why would anyone think that this was a good decision? Just today I was writing to a woman named Ilse, so ever time I mention her name it says llse.
Yeah, thats just fucking wonderful. /end rant
