The Golden Pin Design Award is the longest-running design award that celebrates products expressly created for the Chinese-speaking market.This year, as the design world turns its sights on Taipei , the city which will host the World Design Capital in 2016 , Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award hopes to attract more entries from international companies keen to prove their prowess in the huaren ( Chinese-speaking ) market.

Hulse & Durrell -Identity work for Canada curling

Ben Hulse and Greg Durrell first started working together in 2007 on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Games and have been busy ever since. In recent months they have been immersed in a thoughtful rebranding of the national curling team. In addition, their latest identity campaign for Swimming Canada has earned them high praise in what Olympic medalist Brent Hayden says is a brand that ”honours the past while setting a bold statement for the team going forward”. CorelDRAW International Design Contest 2015

The CorelDRAW International Design Contest is one of the industry’s biggest competitions. It’s the chance for designers and artists of all backgrounds and skill levels to gain global exposure for their work and win valuable prizes.Participants can submit entries into any of the following categories:

• Advertising/Specialty Graphics : Flyers, brochures, logos, signs, banners, awards, engraving, and other designs related to advertising, marketing or point of purchase

• Vehicle Wraps : Designs to be used for cars, trucks, boats or other vehicles

• Textile/Fashion Design : Designs for fashion, embroidery and direct-to-garment printing

• General Illustration & Fine Art : Artistic, creative and unique designs

• Student : Designs submitted by students who are formally enrolled in an educational institution

• Speed Drawing Video : Time-lapse videos that are sped up to show how a work was created in CorelDRAW X7 or Corel PHOTO-PAINT X7
