Green Patriot Posters Student Design Competition

Design Museum Boston announces the Green Patriot Posters Student Design Competition to invite Boston-area high school and college students to design their very own Green Patriot Posters-style call to action regarding climate change.

We are interested in designs that produce an image of strength, optimism, unity and/or urgency in the fight against climate change and drive for energy independence .

Your design can be general (”We Can Do It”), or it can promote a specific action like riding a bike, changing a light bulb, hang-drying your clothes or purchasing renewable energy from your power company. We are also interested in designs that deal more abstractly with the themes of utopia/dystopia, ecology and/or revolution.

To prepare your design for upload make the file a jpg no more than 2MB. Make it 8.5” x 11” at 72 dpi RGB (not CMYK). You can make the design different dimensions but then will have to put a border around it for the site to accept the image. Total file size or canvass size for the image needs to be 8.5” x 11”. These specs are for upload only. You may want to consider making a higher res version of your design. If we end up distributing your design we are probably going to want that higher res version.

There is no entry fee . Eligibility The Green Patriot Posters Student Design Competition is open to any high school (grades 9-12) or college undergraduate student currently enrolled in the state of Massachusetts (USA). Individual students and student teams are encouraged to submit design entries. Prize The 3 winning poster designers will each be awarded by a $600 cash prize and the posters will be added to the traveling Green Patriot Posters exhibition, starting at 315 on A in Boston, then heading to Portland, OR, Chicago, IL, and Berkeley, CA.
