Neutral Density Photography Awards

Neutral Density Photography Awards aims to promote photography and photographers. Our idea is to create new opportunities to present most valuable work to the audiences all over the world. To build a place where photographers can show different points of view and thrive through competition. Our judging panel will comprise highly acclaimed industry professionals, including: gallery owners, publishers, editors and renowned photographers.

There are six main categories:

• Advertising
• Architecture
• Fine Art
• Nature
• People
• Special

There is no limit to the number of individual images or image series each artist may submit. Images that have won prizes in other competitions or that have been submitted in other competitions currently underway are eligible. There is no time or date restriction on when the image was taken. Digitally manipulated images are accepted, although within reason and taste.

Files must meet the following specifications: sRGB or Adobe98 colour space, 8-bit; Longest dimension should not exceed 1024 pixels; Saved as a JPEG at a setting of 10 (100%) or higher. No Watermarks / Copyright Units / Logos on images. Only bleed photographs without borders

Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer.

Anyone over 18 years of age can enter the competition. Prize Neutral Density Photography Awards announces the following prizes in the 2014 edition:

• Grand Prize : ND Photographer of the Year Award and $2500
• 6 Category Winners and $500 for each category winner
• 90 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in subcategories

Future Generation Art Prize 2014 Competition

The Future Generation Art Prize established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation is a worldwide contemporary art prize to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists. The Prize is a major contribution to the open participation of younger artists in the dynamic cultural development of societies in global transition.

The Prize is an innovative new international award for artists up to 35 years of age , investing in the artistic development and new production of works. Awarded through a competition, judged by a distinguished jury, the Prize is founded on the idea of generosity, a network of outstanding patron artists and institutional partners, and a highly democratic application procedure.

To encourage the artists from all over the world to apply, starting from 2014 the Future Generation Art Prize will accept applications in 10 different languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

A group of artists can apply as one participant; at the same time any artist who belongs to a group that has applied can apply individually as a separate participant.

There is no entry fee . Eligibility All artists worldwide between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application may apply with their work without any restrictions concerning gender, nationality, race or artistic medium. Prize The main Prize will be awarded by an international jury to one individual participant or collective of participants who will receive the amount of USD 100,000 . The Prize will be split into USD 60,000 in cash and USD 40,000 to invest in the production of new work.

An additional USD 20,000 will be allocated to fund artist-in-residency programs for the Special Prize winner.

Moreover, 20 shortlisted artists will be announced in June 2014 and will receive an exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre in Kiev, Ukraine from October 2014 to January 2015 .

Dutch Design Competition USA 2014

The Dutch government is looking for a new giveaway to distribute in the United States, and is inviting designers from all over the world to submit inventive, quirky and smart ideas for a functional and affordable small item inspired by Dutch Design.

The Netherlands is defined by its innovative spirit and entrepreneurship in the arts and design industries. Creative ingenuity is an essential part of our nature. Being Dutch inherently means pushing boundaries when tackling problems. Like Americans, we value new ideas and enjoy exploring them. With centuries of cutting-edge arts and culture in our history, we are known for our high commitment to quality and our pragmatic approach.

After March 7 , the top 10 entries will be selected by a high-profile jury by the beginning of April, and will be printed in 3D by Shapeways. The competition will then start its second phase when the designs become part of a temporary exhibit in New York City. Members of the public will vote on their favorite. The winning design will be announced in mid-April.

Each submission must contain a representative images/drawings of the design in a digital file (preferably in pdf-format). Designers are also encouraged to submit CAD 3D drawings. Kikkerland will be able to assist with a CAD drawing if select designers from the top 10 submissions are not able to do so.

The participant remains under any event the owner of the copyrights and other intellectual property rights vested in the submitted design. On each design, printed in 3D-form, the name of the designer shall be credited.

Only one application per participant is allowed.

There is no entry fee . Eligibility The competition is open to everyone worldwide. Prize Kikkerland Design Inc. plans to produce the winning design and introduce it to the US and global markets. In addition, the Dutch government will buy 500 pieces of the winning product, and use it as its official giveaway in the United States.

On top of that, Shapeways will offer the winner a weeklong residency at its headquarters in New York. Flight and accommodations will be included with the prize.
