ATypI 2013

Amsterdam (February 21, 2013): The Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI) announced today that Studio Dumbar will be in charge of the graphic identity and communication for its 2013 conference. ”We are thrilled to have Studio Dumbar as a collaborating partner for our conference, and we will announce other important partnerships in the upcoming weeks” said Marina Chaccur, member of the ATypI board.

Studio Dumbar is located in Rotterdam, Shanghai and Seoul and works for a diversity of clients: companies, governments, NGO’s, cultural organizations, small and big, local and international. Liza Enebeis, Creative Director of Studio Dumbar’s Rotterdam office said that ”an independent view, an innate curiosity to find new answers, a constantly evolving group of designers from many different countries and cultures, a mentality that inspires talents to grow further, a strong belief in individual responsibility and a focus on strengths rather than weaknesses; these are some of the characteristics that define Studio Dumbar.”

Founded in 1957, ATypI provides the structure for communication, information and action amongst the international type community. The association organizes a yearly conference that brings together typographers, type designers, historians, psychologists, programmers and graphic artists. It was last held in the Netherlands, in The Hague, in 1996, but this is the first time that ATypI is brought to Amsterdam.
