Visible White Photo Prize was founded to support international photographers who engage creatively with what is moving personal, social and political issues today.
This edition invites artists to reflect on the theme ’ Skin ’. A membrane which is both tactile and visual, skin is a thin and sensitive layer of protection which is the physical and cultural diaphragm between the inside of the body and the outside world.
For four decades, the AOI ( Association of Illustrators ) has presented the most comprehensive and significant awards for illustration in the UK. This year, after an incredibly successful first collaboration, they welcome back their international partner, the Directory of Illustration , to build on the success of the inaugural World Illustration Awards , honouring the most inspiring illustration throughout the world.
Inför nästa års Guldägg sker förändringar i kategorin Design. Tidigare har den haft fyra underkategorier: visuell identitet, förpackningsdesign, kommersiella miljöer och redaktionell design. Nu delas istället designkategorin upp i två enskilda kategorier: Förpackningsdesign och Identitetsdesign.
Utöver att slå in den tryckta tidningen har de gjort så att webbanvändaren kan läsa den första tidningen i sin helhet på sajten. Firandet syns tydligt på sajten, med livesändningar, krönikor och nyheter med fokus på jubileet och tidningens historia.
Samlingen, som beskrivs bestå av allt från små handgjorda punkkonsertflyers för spelningar på Ultrahuset i Handen till Micael Bindefelds påkostade flyers för fester på Stadshuset, måste enligt Kungliga Biblioteket betraktas som unik. Där finns tusentals flyers från Stockholms klubbscen under 1980- och 1990-talen.
