The CorelDRAW International Design Contest is one of the industry’s biggest competitions. It’s the chance for designers and artists of all backgrounds and skill levels to gain global exposure for their work and win valuable prizes.Participants can submit entries into any of the following categories:

• Advertising/Specialty Graphics : Flyers, brochures, logos, signs, banners, awards, engraving, and other designs related to advertising, marketing or point of purchase

• Vehicle Wraps : Designs to be used for cars, trucks, boats or other vehicles

• Textile/Fashion Design : Designs for fashion, embroidery and direct-to-garment printing

• General Illustration & Fine Art : Artistic, creative and unique designs

• Student : Designs submitted by students who are formally enrolled in an educational institution

• Speed Drawing Video : Time-lapse videos that are sped up to show how a work was created in CorelDRAW X7 or Corel PHOTO-PAINT X7

The Society of Typographic Aficionados , an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, study, and support of type, is pleased to announce the sixth annual SOTA Catalyst Award . This international award is targeted at young people who have created original work in type design , type history , or other areas related to typography .The award recognizes a person 25 years of age or younger who shows both achievement and future promise in the field of typography. The purpose of the award is to act as a catalyst in the career of a young person who does not yet have broad exposure in the profession.

The Bucktown Arts Fest is a non-profit, all volunteer-run, neighbourhood celebration of the arts. All proceeds from the Fest go to fund, develop and support arts education programming at Holstein Park and in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighbourhoods (Chicago, USA).Celebrating its 30th year in 2015 , the Bucktown Arts Fest has grown to become a neighborhood tradition and one of the city’s – and the country’s – premier arts festivals showcasing close to 200 participating artists, plus countless musicians, dancers, poets & performers and attracting more than 40,000 visitors annually.
